The parking situation was poor, and the hotel had fireworks planned on the ground, making it even harder to park. The valet’s behavior was the last straw. My stay, booked two days before New Year’s Eve, was very disappointing. I understand occupancy might be high then, but that doesn’t excuse the service. We were given only one key card. I also had to call the front desk three times and wait nearly an hour for an iron. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional. Although we’d paid in advance, she focused on demanding extra payment for an additional person, despite that not being part of the stated policy, and made no courteous effort to resolve it. There was little coordination, poor service, and staff behavior I found unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and would think twice before staying again.

The front office was helpful, and parking was good. Shops and places to eat are only a 2-5 minute walk away. The rooms were clean and spacious for the price and location, so the stay was better than I expected. Breakfast didn’t quite match the quality of the rest, but it was fair for what they charge. I left with no regrets.

Anoope and Jewel were friendly and professional, and their support made a real difference during my stay. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and I really liked the ambience at Cochin Hilton International. I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it.

The breakfast was below average, with few options and poor quality. I also couldn’t find a dinner choice that worked for my family: the restaurant is very small, has a limited menu, and seems set up mainly to support the bar, so we ate outside. Before checking out, the room service menu offered rice but no curry to go with it. We left, took an auto to another hotel for lunch, then took another auto to the train. I checked into Shilton International Ernakulam yesterday and left today, expecting a very good hotel but feeling disappointed. The rooms were okay, though the floor mat was below average. There’s no clear sign on the AC to show whether it’s on, and it takes a long time for the room to cool, so you have to wait to know it’s running. I usually stay at Trivandrum hotel or Regent avenue when I’m in Ernakulam, and they’re far better. I may not try this hotel again on my next Kochi visit.
