Breakfast was a highlight: it was ready on time at 7:00 a.m., with tasty local choices including kal appam, idli, thosai, parotta, bread, and sandwiches. The restaurant team were attentive and helpful. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the air conditioner, heater, and fan all worked well. The fan was particularly powerful. We also appreciated having a 3-pin plug that fit our home country’s socket, plus a kettle, iron, and other standard amenities. The location and price made the room a reasonable option, and I’d recommend the hotel. There were some drawbacks in Room No. 303, where we stayed one night. The room and bed smelled musty, and I developed a rash on my chest, which I suspect may have been from dust mites. The hair dryer was very loud. With only an overhead shower and no hand shower, bathing our toddler was difficult. Also, leftover food left outside another room wasn’t collected until the next day. Better sunlight and ventilation could make the room more pleasant.

The staff were kind and offered food and travel suggestions. On checkout morning, they even let a fourth person freshen up at no charge, which was a nice gesture. The location is right on the main road, close to both water and conventional metro stations, with lots of shops and food nearby. Rooms are roomy, combining modern amenities with colonial architecture, and the bathrooms were clean with hot water available throughout. The food was fine for what it was, and the buffet was adequate.

The washroom was clean and fresh, and the rooms were tidy with basics like a kettle, TV, coffee, and tea. Both the à la carte food and breakfast tasted good, and the staff were very hospitable. They could have provided a brush kit.

Breakfast was great, with Kerala and other South Indian dishes, and the staff were good. The place felt super cozy, though the rooms were cramped and the washrooms even tinier. The hotel itself seems very old, maybe around 40 years, and that age really came through in the atmosphere and the staff.
