At Hotel Alaya in Sikkim, I felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and disrespected. The owner’s behavior was rude and unprofessional, and he seemed indifferent to guest concerns and basic hospitality. The rooms weren’t properly maintained. When we raised our concerns, the owner Atanu Bal answered with arrogance and hostility instead of trying to fix anything. It felt like a confrontation, not a conversation. Atanu only staff who is doing toilet cleaning to hotel payment . There was little courtesy or basic customer service from the moment we arrived. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and it completely soured our visit. I’d strongly advise others to stay away.

The owner treated us in every possible way that made us feel at home, and all the staff were very warm. I loved the rooms and their behavior. Just awesome, highly recommended.

The owner, MR.Atanu sir, was genuinely nice and polite with us, and the whole place had a home like vibe. Excellent staff, excellent room and food. Everything was 10/10. ♥️❣️💯

I’d give this hotel a rating of 0. The manager’s behavior was awful, the geyser didn’t work at all, and they gave us a TV with no channels. They wouldn’t even provide the Wi-Fi password. The toilet flush didn’t work properly either. The bed was badly damaged inside and broke while we were sleeping, but they still charged us 1000 rs for it. Food there is expensive.
