The downhill location is the one drawback. Coming back from the main road means climbing a steep stretch, which could be hard for older guests. A private taxi for the short trip, about a 5-minute walk, costs around ₹300, so I mostly took sharing taxis instead. They cost ₹20–₹40 per person and were convenient. I paid ₹1100 per night for two people in a mountain view room, which felt well worth it. The room stayed warm even in cold weather, and the blankets were more than enough. It was spacious, sunny, neat, and very clean, with a spotless bathroom and 24/7 hot water. Waking up to the mountain view was refreshing. Tea and coffee sachets and an electric kettle were handy too. The staff were polite and very nice, and their hospitality made the stay comfortable. The food was good, though a little expensive. I’d recommend the hotel for the clean rooms, comfort, view, and welcoming service despite the steep approach.

It’s affordable and I personally liked the property. It’s a good budget-friendly choice if you want something at a 3-star level. The staff are helpful and available when you need them. It’s not currently a muscatel property, but I think you can trust the place. It’s not right by MG Marg, though it’s still walkable, roughly 10 to 15 minutes to the market.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are kind and well behaved. It’s affordable, with brilliant staff and excellent food, and I had a great time here. The location is the main downside. The map says it’s 400mts from MG Marg, but the hotel sits much lower, so the climb back up may be challenging for some people.

The chef deserves a mention: he asked about our preferences and adjusted the meals to suit us. The food was fresh, consistently delicious, and nicely presented, one of the best parts of the stay. Everyone we dealt with was polite, professional, and genuinely helpful, and the warm hospitality made a difference. Our clean, spacious, well-organized rooms felt relaxing and thoughtfully arranged. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly. We appreciated the care from the whole team and would happily recommend this place for a comfortable stay. ❤️❤️

Kanchenjunga can be seen from the restaurant and terrace on clear days. MG Marg is walkable from here, but the terrain makes that a tough walk unless you’re very fit. There are plenty of reserved and shared cabs just outside the hotel, though. The rooms were spacious, clean, and cozy, and the hospitality was excellent. The atmosphere felt very welcoming.
