It’s quiet here, with a natural setting away from the city rush. The place is newly opened and has a TV, AC, small fridge, hot water, and a balcony. Cleaning and hospitality were good too. Once I called for service, a boy came within two minutes.

The property is hard to find because there are no signs or directions, so you have to look it up by plot number. It’s tied up with OYO, but OYO doesn’t manage it. When I arrived at 9 pm, the hotel said it was full, despite my booking and payment for two nights. There was another person at reception with the same problem. The hotel first said it was full, then told OYO customer service there was a water issue in the rooms. I think they made that up, since they’d changed their story. OYO said it would find me another place, but after 30 minutes on the phone said nearby hotels had no availability. I guess that was because I’d booked through MMT. I could book a hotel in the OYO app within 100 metres. They told me to contact MMT instead. I called MMT’s helpline, and after 1.5 hours on the phone they managed to talk to OYO and arrange another place in Civil Lines. By then it was 11 pm. The hotel did let me wait in reception for two hours without bothering me much, so that’s one extra star. They also said they could find somewhere nearby if I needed it, but at a higher price.

The rooms are good, and it’s a good hotel if you can live with two things: there aren’t many satellite channels, and outside food isn’t allowed.

There were cockroaches, and the place was dusty and mouldy for the price they charge. When I told the staff it wasn’t clean, they couldn’t believe it. They were extremely ill mannered and didn’t know how to deal with clients or run the business. Their clientele seemed to be of a different variety, so they’re used to those hourly standards. They also don’t ask certain guests for ID cards. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Since I checked in late at night, I didn’t bother moving. We’d booked a triple room, but were given a small room and told they’d change it in the morning. I didn’t want to argue anymore and just wanted to leave as soon as possible. Despite me telling the front desk not to call, they rang at 7:30 am to ask about breakfast. The bathrooms were even worse than the room and had no amenities. We got tired of asking for amenities, gave up, and decided to leave first thing in the morning. When the staff learned we were leaving a day before the booking ended, they pulled every trick they could instead of admitting their mistakes.
