Dispur Lodge

The hotel staff were helpful and the food is available in house. It's in a prime location, but Google Maps marks it incorrectly. Our Ola dropped us at an earlier location, so we had to get directions from the hotel to reach the right spot. The staff are good, and the experience was good overall.

I was shocked to find a hole in the bathroom wall. When I went in to shower and checked the geyser, I noticed a mobile phone through the hole, taking pictures of me from the next room. I rushed to the police, and they arrested the person who was photographing me from the other side of my room. Anyone planning to stay here should carefully check the holes at the top of the bathroom walls.

The rooms were small, dirty, and not satisfactory for the price. There was a foul smell from the washroom, dust and dirt on the ceiling fan, and no bedside table. It wasn't convenient for what I paid. I've posted photos showing the cleanliness, so check them.

The road-facing room gave us a lovely view, and the hotel is close enough to walk to Ganeshguri in a few minutes. There’s also an in-house restaurant, and they kindly included breakfast even though I’d forgotten to select it on Oyo. Staff were quick, courteous, and professional, and the basement has plenty of parking for cars and bikes, a real help in Guwahati. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a TV, cupboard, AC, and telephone. I’d stay here again whenever I’m in Ganeshguri or nearby, and I’d tell others to give it a try. Please keep the service at this level. Wish I could give more than five stars 😢
