Rains Inn

The room was poor quality and didn’t look like the pictures on the website. The gap between what was advertised and what we found felt misleading. Smoke smelled strongly throughout the corridors, which made the whole stay disappointing.

The staff at Rains Inn in Guwahati were helpful and courteous, and my room was decent enough for a short stay, though nothing luxurious. Those were the high points. The complimentary breakfast wasn’t up to par and could use improvement. The location may be convenient for some, but the heavy traffic made the area feel chaotic. I’d call the experience average overall. With better breakfast and a less difficult location, the hotel could rate higher. For now, it’s an average option in Guwahati.

I was charged extra without being told in advance. When I asked about it, the staff denied responsibility instead of sorting it out, and they were rude and unhelpful. On top of that, I’d booked a non-smoking room, but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. It was a very disappointing stay, and I wouldn’t recommend Rains Inn Hotel to anyone seeking comfort and honest service.

Rains Inn is centrally placed in the heart of Guwahati, and I felt safe and comfortable there as a solo woman traveler. The rooms are clean and compact, just right for two people. The food was good, the staff were very attentive, and the hospitality was excellent. Highly recommended.
