The Shah Imperial

The restaurant was the big surprise for us. I wasn't expecting much, but the service was professional, friendly, and attentive, and the food came quickly and tasted delicious. Portions were generous; prices were a little higher, though still good value. The hotel worked for our needs, and we were comfortable there. It accepts foreign tourists, and the C-form process was as easy as it gets. Staff were friendly and helpful, though only a little English was spoken, and we still got everything we needed. Our room was spacious enough and sort of clean, but it had no window. The fan worked well; the A/C didn't, though we didn't need it. There was a TV we didn't use, and the shower had strong pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable and clean, but the bedding looked worn, with a broken zip and torn cloth. Since it's an event hotel, noise can depend on the party and guests. There's not much around the location, but there is parking for people travelling by car.

The food was really tasty, and I had a great time at a wedding buffet here. They should pay more attention to ventilation for smoke and similar things, though. Apart from that, it was a great experience.

The room was by far the worst I've stayed in. It was so dirty, even after I paid an extra 500 for early check-in. Ants would show up from nowhere and bite me, bed bugs crawled all over, and there was a little lizard sitting quietly in one corner of the bathroom until I arrived. I had no trouble with the staff, which was a plus, but when I asked for the room to be cleaned, it took a long time for someone to come. That's okay, but he only spent 2-3 minutes cleaning the room and bathroom. I wasn't planning to leave a review, but after seeing all those five-star reviews, I wanted to share what it was actually like. Most of those reviewers hadn't even stayed there, from what I could tell. You can see the photos and videos I uploaded. I'd never recommend anyone stay here.

For the Shruti Dance Academy Garba Dandiya Event 2025 (Season 3), we chose The Shah Imperial. The grand ambiance and delicious food made the event a real pleasure, and we loved the venue.
