Hotel Ashoka

I usually stay here every month when I come to Jagdalpur for company meetings, but tonight was horrific. The night shift receptionist was lying on the sofa under a blanket, abusing me and talking inappropriately. He told me to get out of the hotel and said, “I'm the boss here.”

The rooms are good, and the hotel is close to the bus stand. Service still needs to improve.

The best things here are the price, location near the new bus stand, quick room service, and 24-hour checkout. Beyond that, there are a lot of problems. Even after renovation, the rooms are still poor. There's a bad smell, the rooms and washrooms are dim, and the linens and towels are filthy. There are only two charging ports and no Wi-Fi. I'm most concerned about safety. The hotel is being renovated and has no lift, but the stair side rails haven't been installed yet. Carrying luggage on those slippery stairs without anything to hold onto could be dangerous. Please put the rails in soon and replace the dirty linens.

There isn't a restaurant, but you can order food through room service. Or you can go near Gurudwara for Punjabi Hotel, Balaji South Indian food centre, or Hyderabadi dum biriyani. The rooms are nicely furnished and decorated, and the room service is very good.
