The hosts are a lovely family. They gave us the guidance we needed while still leaving us space to enjoy the hospitality. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable, and the place is tucked into a peaceful corner despite being close to the centre. Most of the city is easy to explore on foot from here. The fort, clock tower and blue city graffiti are all very walkable. We had a lovely stay in one of the best parts of Jodhpur.
The rooftop view across the city and fort was amazing, and breakfast up there was tasty. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable, with a great shower, robes, hair dryer, mini fridge, and tea and coffee. Staying with the kind family of Suraj Haveli was a real pleasure. They welcomed us into their beautiful home with such friendliness and patience. My warmest recommendations, and thank you!
Breakfast on the rooftop was really good, with a spectacular view. VJ cooked it beautifully, and there were Indian and continental options. AJ also took me around some local shops and areas, which I appreciated so much. I can't wait to stay at Suraj again on my next trip to India. I had a wonderful time at AJ and VJ’s Suraj Haveli while travelling in Rajasthan. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had a luxurious feel. I slept really well and always felt safe and at ease. The property is in a quiet, lovely neighborhood that feels almost like a village outside town, even though you're in the centre and can walk to everything. Just a few hops away are local snack vendors, barbers and other cool shops. For me, this is the best stay in all of Jodhpur, and I can't recommend it enough.
VJ and AJ looked after us so well, and the food was delicious. The whole family, including the grandparents, were lovely. Everyone was so kind and caring, and they treated us like family. I loved the room too, it had all the facilities. 😍😋♥️
The other employees were quite nice, but the owner who "took care of us" during our three-night stay is why I have such a bad view of this place. When we paid, that person scammed us for 500 rupees. We also didn't ask about food and drink prices, which is partly our fault, but ended up paying around 5000 rupees for a bit of laundry and eight beers. That's outrageous. This is what happens when a homestay puts profit ahead of decent work. The behavior was extremely dishonest and unprofessional. We won't return and can't recommend the place.
