Pepper Coast Luxury Business Hotel

The setting is calm and quiet, which I really liked. Pepper Coast, Edappally, Kochi is neat, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable, hygienic rooms that work for short or long family stays. The staff were polite, helpful, and ready to assist with a warm smile.

A bit of cigarette smoke would sometimes drift into our room. I know that may not be the hotel’s fault, though perhaps staff could be more proactive about guests smoking indoors. Apart from that, we had a great stay for a reasonable price. The team was friendly and welcoming, and the modern room was tidy and decently clean. AC and ceiling fan both worked well. There was a kettle, 2 glasses, 2 cups, tea bags, soap, plus a small table and chair that came in handy for working online. Wi-Fi was stable and fast enough. It’s 18min walking from the metro station, big mall (lulu mall), shops, and restaurants. It’s outside Kochin’s hotspot, but we liked the more local feel of the area.

The room was good, but sorting out a longer stay was difficult. I wanted a week, but they had no rooms available. They wrote my name in a diary and promised a room the next day, yet wouldn’t take advance payment. When I came back, they said they’d first check availability, then after 30 minutes they ‘arranged’ a room. Seeing how hard it was to find one, I switched hotels after staying one night. It’s also a bit far from town and restaurants.

It’s in a quiet residential area, about 1 km from Lulu Mall and away from the rush and traffic. The surroundings, room, and bathroom were clean, and the service was very impressive. There’s space for about 5 to 6 cars, separate parking for bikes, and someone on hand at night for free valet parking.
