Hotel Manoj International

The owner's behavior made this a bad experience. He was sitting in front of the lift and scolded us in Hindi when we used it, saying, "You'll damage the lift by going up and down all the time." The hotel is also very inconvenient for older people attending functions. The seating area is on the ground floor, food is in the basement, and the rooms are in another building, which means far too much walking for anyone over 60. The electricity backup was poor, with a 10-minute wait, and the AC can run in only one hall at a time, either the banquet hall or the basement. Parking also comes with restrictions. Overall, it wasn't a good experience.

We stayed one night on our road trip from Chandigarh to Kolkata, and it was good value for money. The location works well for travellers on GT Road, and there's plenty of parking. Our room was well maintained with clean linen. The restaurant served tasty food at reasonable prices, though room service could be better.

The room cost was 3500, which felt far too high for the limited facilities. I stayed on 13th February, 2025 and had booked two rooms. The food was good, but there was no water in the washroom from the morning of the 14th until our 12.30 checkout. I kept asking about it and was told to wait 10 minutes, but the water never came back. This felt more like a 1-star place.

The rooms and staff are very good, and the food service is good too. It’s right on the main GT road, with plenty of facilities, including a bar and good parking. You can also hold functions here.
