Sebaa Palace

We were there on December 22-23 and stayed one night in room 501. The room and view were excellent, but this is about the staff's behavior. The kettle looked fine outside but was rusty inside, and the glass in the room had fungus growing inside. When we asked for a clean glass, staff argued that since they didn't have a restaurant, they had no plates or glasses. Around 9 at night, a room boy knocked, asked us to hand over the kettle, then hurried in and peered inside without consent. We weren't making noise or playing music. We wondered if they remembered the kettle was rusty and wanted to exchange it. In the morning I asked for a kettle to heat drinking water, and after a lot of arguing one was given. Anil from Assam, who said he'd worked at the same hotel for 14 years, had a terrible attitude toward customers, including us, and didn't seem to know how to speak to people respectfully. He told me to ask someone else. The wifi was bad too, but I won't go into that much here. This review is for the owner, since we felt there was no point complaining to anyone at the hotel. The hotel is well placed for getting to the main attractions, and it's easy to reach. Our room was spacious, clean, and looked after well. Staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. There was a good range of food at breakfast and dinner, and the quality was excellent. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The service was good and the room was clean. We had a comfortable stay, especially in the scenic sea-view room, where we could see the Thiruvalluvar statue and the grandeur of Vivekananda Rock. I'd definitely recommend the hotel to friends or relatives.

The rooms are nice, and all the locations are about a three-minute walk away. Manager Lingam ji was very cooperative and genuine.
