There wasn’t much of a guest atmosphere during my 3 nights and 4 days here. In the cold weather, management didn’t arrange a bonfire or music nights, or make any real effort to create a vibe, so the place felt lifeless. Staff were hard to find most of the time, and even basic requests became inconvenient. Meals were priced like a five-star hotel, which seemed unreasonable; the food bills came to more than the stay itself, almost funny in a disappointing way. The visit felt boring and poorly managed, without warmth, engagement, or basic hospitality. Better management, fairer prices, and more attention to the guest experience could improve it, but right now it wasn’t worth the cost or time.

Pineview cafe and guesthouse, in the heart of the Manikaran Valley near Kasol, was easily the highlight of our trip. The peaceful surroundings, amazing views, and warm hospitality made it an unforgettable stay.

The valley view stretches a full 360°, and the rooms are comfortable. The place is amazing, and the food was fresh too.

There’s a green spot to relax, and expect a special welcome from SMOKEY the American Pitbull. The owner’s a party-loving, crazy mix, while the staff are friendly, and the cleanliness and hygiene are top level. Rooms are decent. The hotel sits at the highest part of the village, so the views are mind-blowing. Highly recommend it for a Himalayan stay like you imagined.

We spent about 10 days at Pine View Cafe with a couple of friends and had an amazing time. There are several spots to relax or party, with privacy too. The food was delicious, especially the pizzas. It feels cosy, and the staff are active and really helpful. I’ll definitely come back to Pine view cafe.
