Hotel Daftari Palace

The staff made us feel comfortable throughout, with warm, attentive service. We also loved the food: there was plenty of variety, and every meal was better than we expected. The review mentions cleanliness, comfort, noise levels, and helpful staff, but gives no specific examples about those points.

A different staff member moved me into a good, working room the next morning straight away. That made it seem a room had been available the night before, despite the evening staff telling me otherwise. The new room was fine, but the evening staff's response felt dishonest and unprofessional, and the hotel needs to improve both its appliance maintenance and how check-in staff handle problems. When I checked in that evening, the fan in my room didn't work and the AC barely cooled. I reported it to the two female receptionists and a short male staff member, and asked to change rooms. They said there were no other rooms, which left me spending a very uncomfortable night. In general, things were good apart from the staff and the upkeep of the in-room appliances.

The warm atmosphere and top-notch service made this a great stay. Mukarji was especially outstanding and made the experience even better. Hotel Daftari Palace deserves its high rating.

Breakfast had very few choices, and all the food was expensive. The Wi-Fi password they gave me was wrong, and the electric kettle didn't work. In my view, this hotel deserves zero stars.
