We were right by the water, which made this a cozy spot to settle in for a few days. Jos can tell you how long the trees have been there. The breakfast was delicious, with idlyappam and dosa, and the prawn roast we requested for dinner was great too. On hot days it was comfortable to sit by the water’s edge. I’d recommend both the sunset boat tour and the backwaters tour. Being on the water is great.

We brought our 2 Year old baby, and the stay was very baby friendly. They respected our privacy, didn’t interfere, and gave us full freedom to explore. We had an amazing stay.

The rooms were very clean, and the property was well maintained. Our hosts were helpful and very welcoming. Gramam is a great homestay in kumbalangi, with an ideal location for exploring the area.

There’s one large room in the cottage, with four single beds set up in pairs, enough for 4-5 guests, plus a kitchen and dining area. It’s a simple place with basic facilities, not a luxury resort. There’s no AC, but the many windows and good airflow kept us comfortable. We can’t say how it would feel in summer. The washroom is open, though it still has the privacy you need. The setting is peaceful, with backwaters around almost three sides and greenery all around. Having the whole place to ourselves made it especially calm. The owner, Jos, is a gentleman who respects your privacy and gives you plenty of freedom. My friends and I had an amazing stay at Gramam Homestay.

This was a peaceful village stay in Kumbalangi, surrounded by greenery and calm backwaters. The hosts were so friendly and made us feel at home. A clean, quiet spot for experiencing local life. Highly recommended.
