Dhanshree Resort

Dhanashree Resort was a calm, refreshing place for our pleasant one-night stay. There’s lots of open space and natural beauty, and the rooms were good, clean, and well maintained. The location works well for safaris in both the Kohora and Baghori regions. We liked the food, though the restaurant wasn’t very active around lunchtime.

The “Executive Cottage” we paid ₹4500++ for felt very standard, with hard mattresses, and wasn’t worth the price. We were also disappointed by the poor food and staff who seemed untrained and short on basic hospitality skills. The kitchen closes at 9:00 PM, and after that there’s no alternative if you dislike a meal or want to order something else. By 9:30 PM, even biscuits weren’t available. Breakfast ending at 9:00 AM also felt highly unacceptable for a hotel, especially when people are on vacation or traveling. It was among our worst stays, a really irritating waste of money. We expected much better for what we paid.

A walk to the little tea garden on the hill behind the rooms felt therapeutic, and the greenery and peaceful pool area made the surroundings beautiful. My friend and I visited Kaziranga in November for a short two-day break, traveling on our own because we honestly just needed quiet time away from life. We stayed one night at Dhanshree Resort, and it was exactly what we wanted: comfortable, calm, and thoughtfully maintained. Everything felt unhurried and serene, with no noise or rush. We loved the coffee so much that we’ve officially become coffee people now. Dhanshree Resort gave us a peaceful, grounding stay, and we’re glad we chose it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for calm, nature, and comfort near Kaziranga.

There are several kinds of accommodation, from big to small, and the place is close to the central zone Jeep Safari, which picks up and drops off at the resort. The location and service were very good, and the staff were helpful. Food options are a bit limited, though the food itself was good. The toilets were clean and hot water was readily available. One small thing: the bathroom had two soap dispensers, but they weren’t labelled as bathing soap or shampoo.
