Fabhotel Dreamland

After refusing our check-in at eros 211 over a supposed local ID issue, they moved us to their Dreamland branch, 1.8 KM away, and called it an upgrade over the phone. My partner’s ID was from Falta in South 24 Parganas and mine from Howrah, neither remotely part of Kolkata’s pin. The receptionist didn’t seem to understand that different districts have different Pin code. Dreamland was one of the shadiest hotels I’ve ever been in: no parking and rooms smaller than the washrooms. This chain misleads customers and pushes services not worth 100 INR. I’d never recommend fab hotels and would avoid the whole chain.

The room was very small, and the receptionist seemed edgy. They interrupted us three times while we were already inside, with stupid excuses. If you’re a couple hoping for some quality time, don’t go there.

The rooms were neat, clean, and well looked after, and everyone was helpful with transport and guidance. I had a wonderful, peaceful stay and would recommend this property.

There was dust in the room, and cleanliness needs work. The staff were okay, but the geyser wasn’t working properly. I personally wouldn’t recommend staying here.
