Pride Plaza Hotel, Kolkata

I stayed on the 8th floor in a NON SMOKY room. Gopal, the housekeeping boy, was good, and Pride plaza is courteous and soft. It may not have the shiniest edges among hotels in New town, but the people have hearts ❤️ of gold 🥇. I enjoyed the fish, and the crew kept checking in and made sure I had enough milk sachets. Instructions were followed after a pause, which was fine since they take time to see to the details. At the restaurant the waiters could be forgetful, but their smiles and energetic responses made up for it. I’d come back here again, many more times.

Ms Priyanka Kishen and Mr. Shantanu made the stay feel warm and welcoming. The Bengali food was delicious, full of authentic flavours and clearly prepared with care. I appreciated their attention to detail and the homely atmosphere they created. One ridiculous thing, though: they switched off the AC at night to save on the power bill.

The rooms were clean, and room service was punctual and humble. Staff were welcoming and cordial, and the available services were good. The swimming pool was unavailable because renovation was underway. Mr Gopal made sure any shortcomings were dealt with and that we had no issues. A good team. 5/5.

The food and bar offers were good, and the staff were quick to help. They also kept our luggage safe for quite a while at our special request. Mr imran kindly helped with our bags and was helpful throughout the stay. Looking forward to coming back soon.
