Treebo Prince

The room was superb for my one-night stay, but service was average. Breakfast was a joke: you get one egg, and anything else costs extra. They’d be better off describing this as a self-service hotel, where guests make the bed, clean the room, and carry their own luggage, so people know what to expect instead of being promised complimentary breakfast.

I regularly stay at Prince Hotel, and Vinod, the backbone of the hotel, helped me get a good room when I wanted to stay. But the staff’s behavior was very bad this time. I reported that the A/c in my room wasn’t working, and nobody came to check even after 30 minutes. The operation manager was told, but couldn’t offer anything. They said the hotel was full and gave several reasons, with no other room available. I called Vinod again, and he arranged another room, but it was very bad, room number #202.203. I booked online, and they don’t even have a refund option.

Service was good overall, and the room itself was good too. But it had no curtains to keep the light out. They could add an inner black curtain to solve that. I was also charged for extra water instead of getting it as a complimentary service.

With shops, restaurants, and cafes nearby, it’s easy to find what you need, and the local attractions and transportation are convenient to reach. Hotel Prince is right in the heart of Kottayam, so getting around was easy. I recently stayed there and had a very pleasant experience.
