Sia La Guest House

I stayed four nights here, with breaks in between trekking to Nubra and Markha. Each time I came back, the place made me feel settled again in Ladakh. The hotel itself is super cozy, with a tidy room, friendly staff, and flexibility. The surroundings are amazing, with a lovely, well cared-for patio, popla around it, and steep mountains behind. During my stay, a political strike closed all the shops, so we couldn't get anything in the city, including food. The hotel arranged what we needed and kept us comfortable, which I really appreciated. They also offer laundry at a reasonable price, with the quality and quick turnaround I'd expect. Ladalh is lovely on its own, but staying here made that feeling last even more.

It felt like a second home during the five days I stayed. The place is beautiful, the staff are polite, and it's quiet. Dinner and breakfast were good, and we got to enjoy Old Bollywood Songs while eating. Thank you.

Mr. Arif was there for me throughout the stay, and the host's support was unwavering. The food and staff were commendable too. The rooms were immaculate, and the location was convenient and easy to reach. It made for a very comfortable stay and a great experience with lovely hospitality. Highly recommended.

The hosts were wonderful and the staff friendly. It was a great deal, too, with a comfortable room, good hot water, central heating, and a good breakfast. You're close to the main market bazaar and can walk there easily. Taxis are readily available, but there are also foot-only lanes for exploring town. One is right outside Sia_la's gate :-) It's definitely a guesthouse, and a most enjoyable one. I felt more than welcome, really at home, and made friends there.
