Purohit Holiday Resort

The rooms are okay for a one-day stay, but I wouldn’t choose this place for a family based on my experience. It’s about an 8-10 minute walk from the railway station, which is convenient. There was no telephone or hot water jug in the room, and they only provided soap, with no dental kit or comb. Hot water was available only in the morning. I also didn’t see an in-house restaurant.

We went in October and found the rooms spacious and very clean, with good service too. The location is a big plus, right in the city center and about 100 mts from the Lonavala bus stand. There’s plenty of parking if you’re bringing a vehicle. We didn’t eat there, so I can’t say whether food is available, but Annapoorneshwari nearby was very good and only a five-minute walk away.

The room was in very poor condition, and cleanliness was bad. The washroom door was unusable and wouldn’t lock.

The pool was clean and well maintained, and the small backyard with tall trees made the area around the rooms feel calm. Inside, the room was comfortable, with clean, fresh bedding, AC, and a TV with plenty of channels for unwinding. Getting around was easy too, since the hotel is close to the railway station, bus stand, and main road. A few things need attention: the toilets could be kept more hygienic, and the fans, AC units, exhaust fans, and drapes need cleaning. Some recreational gear, including the carrom board and table tennis set, was worn out and due for replacement. I had a pleasant stay, and those fixes would improve it further.
