OYO 45390 Hotel Heritage Inn

The only thing that worked well was the AC. There was no remote, though, so good luck getting the temperature right. We arrived around 11:30 at night to an unresponsive desk attendant, a room full of mosquitoes, dirty sheets, and blankets that smelled. When we raised it, the manager brushed off the problems and flatly refused to help make the stay more bearable. Really bad experience.

The room was compact but nicely done, and the price was easy on the pocket. The hotel is about 400 meters from Ludhiana station and 200 meters from Akalgarh market, so the location worked well. The downside is the AC: they don't give you a remote, and having to call reception every time you want to adjust the temperature gets tedious.

The receptionist was rude and demanded extra money, saying Oyo meant nothing and telling us not to waste time calling them. We had been moved from another Oyo hotel, and although they first agreed to check us in, the old man at the desk refused to give us a room when we arrived. He said that if the previous hotel had denied our check-in, why would they let us stay? I contacted Oyo's service team, but when they called the hotel, the receptionist ignored the call even though his phone was right in front of him. I handed him my phone and asked him to speak to them. He wouldn't listen and insisted they call the number registered with Oyo. He was very rude and badly behaved. They don't care about Oyo's terms and conditions or how far a guest has travelled. It felt like all they wanted was more money, and they showed no regard for Oyo. Oyo should remove this hotel from its service.

The rooms were cramped and smelled because there wasn't enough ventilation. Also, even though the hotel is partnered with Oyo, they wouldn't honor the Oyo price when we arrived to check in. It's just okay.
