The price was reasonable even during busy peak days, and Chuppi HomeStay worked well for our family trip to Coorg. Mr Sarath helped us plan the sightseeing in a way that let us cover more places.

Getting there can be tricky if you follow the shortest route on GMap, since it may send you along a very winding road. We found it better to go through Madikeri city. The place itself is calm and peaceful, and the host is responsible, responsive, and ready to help.

The neighborhood is quiet and serene, and the property is clean with a lovely view from the sitting area. The first floor can easily fit 5 adults, so ask the host about booking it. The rooms are a good size, though the doors and cot could use repairs. There’s hot water for bathing and a separate drinking water dispenser, and the owner is willing to help with anything needed. The walk in from the main road may not feel safe after dark, so it’s better to have your own vehicle.

We only had a short time there, and I’m sure there was more to explore around the homestay. It’s in a nice spot away from the main town’s traffic and bustle. The rooms are small but fine for two, the family is friendly and helpful, and the food and service were good. The price was reasonable for the season.

We stayed in September 2018, using rooms on both the ground and first floors. There was proper parking, and the beds and rooms could accommodate 10 people. The view is especially nice in the morning. The owner advised us on the best times to visit places, and there’s a good menu at the stay, with food brought right to the door. Breakfast is included in the package, but you have to let them know the day before. I’d stay here again on another trip to Coorg.
