We were keen to stay here because people recommended the rooftop terrace with its restaurant and bar. You can still see the whole temple complex, but the restaurant and bar are no longer there. There are tables and chairs, yet they’re so dusty that sitting there properly isn’t possible. We missed the sunset and evening view from a restaurant or bar, which was what we’d looked forward to. Without that feature, we could have booked any hotel nearby. The location itself is handy, close to the railway station and central bus stand, and Meenakshi Amman Temple is walkable. Check-in was quick and easy, and our room was clean and well maintained.
