Majestic Hotel

We got in earlier than planned because our train arrived early, but the staff had already said early check-in could be managed, and they let us in. The room was clean and nice, the bathroom was kept clean too, and both the TV and AC worked properly. My family enjoyed staying at Majestic. It's about a 10-minute drive from the temple and near the district court, with buses, cabs, and autos always around. Budget stays in Madurai often don't look like their photos, but this one did, and I highly recommend it.

The team were warm and attentive, from the bell boys and security to the front desk. We stayed at Majestic for one night, and the rooms were clean with great amenities. I really enjoyed the visit and would absolutely recommend it.

The location and basic comfort were what I'd recommend this place for, though the rates may feel high for what's provided. My room was clean, comfortable, and had enough amenities for a decent stay. Staff were polite and quick to help with requests, so the experience was easy and pleasant overall. Still, I expected better value at this price. A few room upgrades or extra services would make the cost easier to justify.

The reception staff were really helpful and relaxed, and the service was excellent. I didn't feel I was missing anything. I had trouble with my card and couldn't pay for the first night, which they handled without a problem. Since I wasn't sure how long I'd stay, I paid each following morning for the night just spent. The bed was comfortable and the room fairly clean, though the bathroom was moldy despite having strong water pressure. For my final night, I asked for a discount because of the bathroom and the somewhat high price. They offered me a better room, but I explained that packing all my stuff for just one night didn't make sense, so we agreed on a small price reduction. I really appreciated that. One thing I raised with reception: on both the first and last nights, someone called my room phone after midnight, apparently from another room. As a solo traveler trying to sleep, that made me uncomfortable.
