Sri Annapoorna Tower

Mosquitoes bothered us all night because cockroaches were in the room and its walls were dirty. There was no WiFi in the rooms, and they didn't even provide mosquito repellent. Our whole family got just one bottle of water. The rooms were in very poor shape and not clean at all. A really uncomfortable, disappointing stay.

You can see cockroaches and bugs running right in front of you. I wouldn't stay here unless hygiene doesn't matter to you. For 1900, we expected a better AC room for three people, but the extra bed was just put on the floor. The one thing going for it is the location, just two blocks from Aravind eye hospital, and there is a lift for older people. The sheets had obvious stains and were torn. When I asked housekeeping, I got the same answer several times: "The room is already cleaned." The bed looked ancient, like it belonged in a museum. The small welcome set had soap, paste, a brush and a shampoo sachet for each person, plus one complimentary 1-litre bottle of water. There was a TV, but it wasn't connected to power and had no set-top box. The split AC sounded like a window unit. You couldn't see your reflection in the mirror, and the dusty wardrobe had no handle, hanger, or rod inside. All the door locks were broken, so you could look through the hole. The toilet faucet's tube wasn't even as long as my forearm. They said hot water would be available from 6 to 8 AM, but I had to shower in cold water at 7.

The one good thing is the kerala cafe restaurant. In the room, switching on the AC caused flooding, the TV had no set-top box, and the electrical switchboards were exposed. There was no hot water, and the bathroom fittings were dirty.

The windows were broken, so mosquitoes and other insects got into the room. Bathroom taps and door locks were damaged, and nothing seemed properly maintained. The staff service was very poor too. The rooms were so bad I wouldn't stay even one night.
