Mr. Sadiq and his father were so calming to talk to, with a good vibe about them. Their manner made it easier to let go of the small issues I ran into. The rooms look just like the pictures, and mine was spacious and clean, with a really comfortable, clean mattress for this price range. They provide 50 Mbps wifi, but no toiletries were available, so I bought my own. Hot water is available only from 9 to 11am, though they’ll bring a bucket if you need it outside those hours. The TV had no signal throughout my stay, so we made do with our phones and laptop. Random people also came by in the morning asking for donations, which was extremely unexpected and awkward. The hotel is in a chawl area, and finding it at night was a little confusing. There’s also a nearby durgah, so prayers play over loud speakers early in the morning. No issue if you sleep deeply, but otherwise, all the best. Still, it’s a budget-friendly, good hotel near the main market, with spacious rooms and good owners.

The rooms were big and clean, with a comfortable bed and working lights. It’s close to the market, and the owners might have looked after us better if they hadn’t had a marriage in the family. We got a great deal from goibibo for 3 nights, hoping for a peaceful stay, and it was soothing. Mr. Sadiq and his family were humble and down-to-earth. Mr. Sadiq waited until evening for us to arrive because they had to leave for a family wedding. It’s more like a homestay, with only a limited number of rooms, and about 10 mins walking distance from the main bus stop. Still, it has its downsides. As several earlier reviews mentioned, the TV didn’t work at all during my 3 days there. Hot water was available only after 9am till 11 or 12pm, which was somewhat ok. House cleaning wasn’t available because they weren’t at reception, understandable with the family function. One woman came in the morning, rang the bell and kept knocking until I opened the door, then asked for a donation. She insisted I pay more and complimented my looks to get me to donate more. Extremely weird. Rest all is ok.

For the price, definitely not worth 1250 per night. If only the geyser had worked, I would have given them at least 4 star. The staff were very friendly, though, and fixed whatever concerns we raised during the stay. Still, these are basic things that shouldn’t need to be pointed out by customers. Rooms weren’t cleaned after the previous guest, and we had to ask for the bedsheets and pillow covers to be changed. The geysers were installed but were “claimed to be faulty”. It can’t be faulty in every room, unless you choose to. There was no on demand hot water in a cold place like Mahabaleshwar. We had to request it and they brought it in a bucket, which I’d never experienced before. The hotel pictures show a restaurant included, but there isn’t one. They ordered breakfast from a nearby local store, and the poha was as dry as the Sahara desert. I’m guessing it’s next to a mosque, since morning prayers were played on loud speakers around 5:30ish. The hotel is located in a residential area, away from the market.

There was no network and the Wi-Fi was poor too. You have to go outside for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and there was no cleanliness at all. I planned to stay for two days, but left the room during the first half because the service was so poor. Wi-Fi didn’t work on the 1st floor, so a guy arranged a room on the ground floor, but the TV in that room didn’t work. It felt like if one thing worked, something else definitely wouldn’t. People come from long distances, so try to understand and improve your service.

A decent, good option if you want a cheap hotel in the main market of mahabaleshwar. The staff were good and cooperative. Things were fine otherwise, though a little more cleanliness is needed. Hot geyser water is available only after 9 am.
