The Olive Green Resort Mahabaleshwar

We checked out on the second day because the taps were totally broken, there were bugs in the room, and the staff were rude and had no manners. The whole stay was the worst experience. We’d checked in for three days, but while we were out sightseeing after the first day, the manager and other staff opened our locked room and moved all our personal belongings, bags and all, to another room. When we returned, we tried to open our room and heard a third person shout from inside. The staff then said they had changed our room, but nobody had informed us by phone or in any other way. After a lot of discussion, the owner didn’t come to help resolve it and said it wasn’t their responsibility, that the staff were individually responsible. How could the manager and staff enter a room we’d locked with our key and touch and shift our belongings? They breached our privacy and trust. Don’t go here. No one is safe in this hotel.

We stayed in a chalet room with views of the garden and pool, and the cool, breezy weather made it a lovely place to relax. The property is up in a green area surrounded by nature, and its location is a plus when visiting Mahabaleshwar. The staff were friendly and helpful, handled our requests well, and we had no issues. Breakfast was decent too. Thanks, Olive Green, for a pleasant stay. I’d happily visit again.

The Forest Hill View Non-AC room had beautiful views both in front and behind, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We visited in November, during winter. The property sits above the famous Hotel Leela, up on a hill, and there’s a temple about 50m away. Olive Green resort was clean, scenic, and well maintained, with polite, quick, helpful staff. The in-house food was tasty and much more affordable than at nearby pricey hotels and resorts. It’s also budget-friendly. Call the owner to book directly, since that gave us better rates and smoother coordination than third-party apps. A wonderful stay, highly recommended. I’d stay here again.

Dinner and breakfast were included with my room, but we waited from 8:30 PM and didn’t get the meal until after 10:30 PM. They’d ordered it from outside. We’d asked when breakfast would be and were told 8:30 to 9 AM, but we waited until 10:10 and finally left without eating. Useless place, don’t go there. Bakwas and cheap.
