Sherwood Resort

We chose this resort for my parents’ wedding anniversary, and it turned out to be a lovely stay. The place has a real rejuvenating retreat feel, and the rooms are great. Ramesh barge helped us get around the property. At dinner, Gurwinder made the experience especially enjoyable and went out of his way to help us have a good time. Thanks as well to Namdev, niraj, jyoti and neha, and all the staff.

The parking at Sherwood was poorly organized. There wasn’t a dedicated lot, and security didn’t take enough care with where vehicles were parked. Apart from that, our family had a memorable four days in Mahabaleshwar, from 23rd to 27th February 2026. We spent two days at Club Mahindra Sherwood and two at Club Mahindra SEZ, booking two studio rooms each day. Both were comfortable, though Sherwood’s rooms felt more moderate and SEZ had a livelier atmosphere. Staff at both front desks were helpful, and the settings were beautiful and relaxing. Our grandchildren loved the pool, and we had two fun nights of entertainment at the Club Mahindra SEZ sports cum musical club.

The rooms were nice, and aside from a few issues, things were good. The resort is much smaller than other Club Mahindra properties. Housekeeping and in-dining service took far too long, and I had to call two or three times to get things handled. Some reception staff also didn’t understand English.

We stayed as a family in a STU room. The staff were courteous, and the green, clean grounds gave the resort a pleasant feel. The room was a decent size, though the property itself is old and needs upgrades. Several games in Happy Hub weren’t working. Staff coordination and awareness could be better, and mobile reception was poor, so we had to rely on the resort WiFi. There weren’t many local dishes, and the food was only average. Club Mahindra food is usually a highlight for us, so this meal experience disappointed. Apart from the courteous staff and ambience, it was an average stay.
