The location was a big plus: MPT Surbahar is centrally placed and among the closest properties to Maa Sharda Temple and Alha Mandir. The railway station and city center at Ghanta Ghar were easy to reach, with autos available from early morning until about 10 PM. My stay was from 24th to 26th April 2026, and the staff made it especially welcoming. The reception team were polite, cooperative, and ready to help with a smile. The room was spacious and thoughtfully furnished, with spotless beds and washroom. Cleanliness was clearly a priority, the toiletries were very good quality, and housekeeping and room service were prompt. Restaurant food was fresh, delicious, and satisfying. One inconvenience: meals weren't delivered to the room, apart from tea and coffee, and the restaurant closed in the afternoon. We felt this around 3:30 PM in the heat, so check the hours and plan meals ahead. MPT Surbahar was comfortable, clean, and well managed, and I'd recommend it to travelers and pilgrims visiting Maihar.
