Hotel Maple Retreat

Both rooms we booked had broken geysers, which was a major inconvenience. The TV didn’t work either, and the Wi-Fi was so slow it was nearly unusable. It felt as if nobody had checked the rooms before handing them over, and the basic amenities weren’t maintained properly. The stay was very disappointing and not worth the money. The hotel management needs to improve its maintenance and service.

The room quilt and bed sheets smelled bad, and staff failed to answer the phone about half the time. They also charged an extra 500 for a room heater, the first time I’ve seen a hill station hotel do that. The reception wasn’t hygienic, and they weren’t even mopping the floor. There weren’t many breakfast options either. This is a third-class hotel. Don’t stay here.

The room itself was good. If you’re picking this hotel for EV charging, be prepared to wait by your vehicle. The charger is one of the few in Manali that works properly, so it’s busy much of the time. When another EV is plugged in, you may have to wait, and the hotel can’t control when the charger is available. Breakfast is also limited if you take the room package. It’s paratha and puri bhaji every day. Non-veg breakfast is offered, but boiled eggs are the only option, with no other non-veg items.

Our stay in manali was seriously affected by the service here. After we lost the key, the staff wouldn’t help us, refused to provide camera footage, and even asked us to pay 2000 in compensation. They’re extremely inflexible, and complaints made no difference. The employees also have a bad bedside manner. This is the worst hotel any human soul could ever come across.
