Hotel New Adarsh

Hotel New Adarsh is right in the heart of Manali, which made it easy for us to get to the main attractions. We spent three days there, and the clean, comfortable, well-kept room gave us a cozy place to return to after exploring town. The staff were friendly and attentive, always willing to help with a smile. We had an amazing experience and would recommend staying here.

The entrance looked a little shady, and since I’d booked online I was nervous at first, even though the rates were very reasonable. Some rooms apparently don’t look like their pictures. Our room and bathroom, though, were both huge and clean. The real surprise came early in the morning from our first-floor room: I thought the clouds beyond the trees were hanging very low, but they were actually snow-covered mountains. Also, the restaurant by the entrance, right on the Mall road, served really good chilly chicken. We liked the taste and portion so much that we had it many times. Must try.

For what I paid, I’m still completely satisfied and wouldn’t have expected more. The hotel was good value, with a great location, excellent breakfast and a really nice lobby, and I’d definitely return. The room was great, though it could use updating. It was cold and the heating didn’t work. There was a 34 inch LED and no fridge or anything like that.

We got a free room upgrade, which was a nice surprise. It was basic, but had everything we needed for one night, and the doorman was a lovely touch. Breakfast wasn’t as good as I’ve had at other hotels. The food was very dry and had been sitting on the hot plate too long, though they must have a lot of guests staying each night.
