Luxury Amar Tree Resort, Mandarmani

We stayed one night in two premium deluxe sea-view rooms for four adults, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included, for around ₹18K. The resort's outside ambience was calm and relaxing, and the staff were polite and welcoming. But for that price, the stay and food could have been much better. One room met expectations, but the second balcony faced the outdoor AC units of nearby rooms. In the summer heat, hot air made it impossible to sit outside, defeating the point of paying for a premium sea-view room. If those rooms can't be avoided, they shouldn't be sold as premium during peak summer. There were hygiene problems too. The loofah looked used and had hair on it, and the bathroom dustbin had no lid. Food was average at best, with long waits after ordering and a taste that didn't justify the delay.

Since the management changed, the service and food quality and taste have fallen a lot. We arrived very late at night, but they wouldn't even allow a 30 mins late checkout. I wouldn't recommend this resort anymore, especially with lots of better resorts now nearby.

My stay here was a terrible experience. They tried to push overpriced alcoholic beverages on us, despite not having a bar licence, as far as I know. I told them I had my own drinks, but they wouldn't let me consume them by the pool. They had no peg system option either. We paid a lot, and those restrictions felt ridiculous. Amar tree didn't feel guest friendly, and I'd suggest choosing one of Mandarmani's more guest friendly options instead. I have a photo of the beverage bill, which I believe is illegal.

We went for 2 nights with my wife, and this was easily my best time in Mandarmani after years away. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and obliging. The food was the part I loved most, homely and tasty. I was sceptical because of the Google reviews, but my opinion changed after staying there. I'd tell people to visit once before deciding from reviews. You can bring your own alcohol, but it can only be consumed in your room. That was fine with me, since the alcohol menu was reasonably priced for us. The resort is ideal for families and couples, with open parking for personal vehicles inside the property, and it's pet friendly. You have a complete private beach to yourself. This will be my go to spot if I return to mandarmani. Thank you Luxury Amar Tree for making the stay so pleasant.
