Hotel Lake Palace

Both my kids, aged 7 years and 1.5 years, were happy here, which is what my review is mostly about. There were separate play areas for children over 5 and those under 5. They even brought a feeding chair when I called, which I hadn’t expected. We got a ground-floor room on request, and having a kitchen meant we could prepare homemade food for my younger child. The hotel was very clean too.

The lake view is lovely, and the hotel is right beside the lake. The staff were kind and courteous, but the property is very old and the path to reception isn’t properly maintained. It needs renovation, especially with newer hotels nearby that also have good lake views. The food was average.

The view from the outdoor sitting area and the location near Nakki Lake were the best parts. There’s no complimentary breakfast, but the à la carte food is made fresh when ordered. I had a great stay.

The location is quite good, but the service left me disappointed. Even though rooms were available early in the morning, the receptionist didn’t seem concerned about our comfort after a long journey and offered no help with a place to freshen up or rest. Their courtesy and customer service were poor. The prices are like a three-star hotel, but breakfast isn’t included, and even basics such as drinking water cost extra. The complimentary water is limited, and you pay for more bottles. It felt like making money was the priority over hospitality, which really affected the value and our satisfaction.
