Collection O 75556 Hotel Address Inn

The hotel sits very close to the airport, so it might do if you only need a bed before moving on. Getting there means going down a narrow, filthy alley, and the place feels much the same. I’d put a little more money toward a better hotel. I can’t understand how this one has three stars, I’d barely give it one. My booking was for Hotel Apex International. The sign said Hotel Apex International, though it looked as if the place had once been called Hotel Address Inn. The photos matched and they had my reservation, so I’m sure I had the right hotel. The room’s first impression was awful: musty smell, grime, and what looked like mould on a chair. Looking closer, it wasn’t as bad as it first seemed. It was worn, with peeling paint, but the sheets were clean and the room didn’t actually seem dirty or mouldy. There was no window, which I’d never encountered in a hotel room before, and I don’t know if that’s even legal. Sound travelled freely, enough that I could have talked to someone in the next room at a normal volume. Something with claws kept running back and forth in the ceiling cutout. Maybe it was a pet in the room above, despite the no-pets rule, or maybe rats. There wasn’t a table or stool for my luggage, so I had to put it on the floor, which raises the risk of bedbugs. There was no toilet paper until I asked. The room was advertised as 17 square metres, but I doubt it was much bigger than 10.

The rooms were untidy, and the service was poor. We’d booked through OYO the day before, but when we arrived the receptionist said every room was sold out and claimed OYO hadn’t told him about our reservation. We were stuck waiting for around an hour. Later we heard guests were checking out, told him, and he asked us to wait while the boys cleaned a room.

The rooftop meal was a letdown, and I had to wait an hour because my room wasn’t clean when I arrived. The rooms are decent and the infrastructure is good, with okay service. But there were no windows in the room, which made me feel quite suffocated. For me, it’s an average hotel.

I didn’t get the room I’d booked, and it was in really bad shape. They gave me no soap or towel, and the bedsheet wasn’t clean. My money was wasted. He said Oyo wasn’t paying him.
