FabHotel Midaas Comforts

I’m planning to stay again when I return in four months. After a terrible taxi ride where the driver went around for two hours and then demanded more money, which I didn’t pay, the Hotel Midass Airport manager was incredibly kind and helpful when I arrived. At 2:30 am, he even got me some food and told me to get comfortable, sleep well, and sort things out in the morning. The room was very comfortable, with a nice bed, shower room, and great air conditioning. Breakfast was very good too. Thank you, Maurie.

The front desk apologized and sorted things out after the room service staff gave us fake bills for mineral water, perhaps by mistake. The service was poor, though, and the room was very small for two people on an official trip. Breakfast was complimentary but consisted only of bread. There’s a nearby hotel that delivers good food, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

At 1 am, after a long journey and expecting to finally sleep, I was told there were no rooms. I’d booked and paid in advance, but they still left me stranded and made my night in Mumbai horrible. They said I’d get a refund, but that misses the point. Just imagine being in that situation. They clearly don’t care about customers. I didn’t even want to give them one star.

It’s close to Chakala metro station, but that’s about the only positive. The room was dirty and noisy, the staff seemed unprofessional, and some couldn’t speak English. A promised facility, the safe deposit, wasn’t available either. FabHotel Midaas Comfort is advertised as luxury, but the room was anything but, especially for what it costs.
