Hotel BKC Palace

The rooms were good and clean, and the staff were friendly. It's near the US consulate, though the location isn't very nice. From outside it looks like the hotel is in some yard.

The photos on Google are wrong, the hotel doesn't look like them. We arrived at 9 am and saw that rooms were empty, but the staff still didn't give us a room. We sat at reception for three hours and still weren't accommodated. The staff members' behavior was very bad.

There are decent restaurants nearby, and the management was excellent. The rooms were decent too. Most places across Mumbai took about an hour to reach by commute. Overall, I had a great stay.

The surrounding area is a mess, though it's close to BKC and its important offices. My room was comfortable, but other guests talking loudly could be disturbing. The management should work on noise cancellation, water, and rat issues. I'd read a lot of negative reviews, so I was unsure about staying here. I'd already booked ten days through AirB&B, and messaged the host with my concerns. They said the property's management had recently changed and service was now much better, and that the bad reviews were from the past, though there were still some negative comments from recent months. After I checked in, the staff did their best to make me comfortable. People might give it a chance for short stays.
