Hotel Highway Residency

I arrived around 1 p.m. hungry, having eaten nothing until then, and ordered Dal Tadka with rice. It tasted good. The hotel is only two and a half km from the airport, so it could work for a couple of days. The room was clean, and the bed and sheets were neatly ironed, with fresh white linen. I was satisfied with that.

The photos are misleading. This is an old, very unclean property, and it was the worst hotel I've stayed in. I was there for two days. The reception guy had a don't-care attitude, and there was no customer service. I skipped the free breakfast because of the dirty rooms; I can only imagine what the kitchen is like. It doesn't deserve a 3 rating. Please don't book here. Even the bolt inside the room was broken, so someone could come in with duplicate keys. Everything was bad.

The toilets were dirty, and the place had no ambience or courtesy from the manager and staff. The worst part was room service opening an occupied room and coming in while a guest was inside. The staff member didn't understand that a double-locked latch meant the room was occupied, and should have knocked before using duplicate keys. The manager and staff seemed to act smart and speak rudely, and I felt the problem was with their intent too. Zero rating.

The pictures don't show what the hotel is really like. The bedding was dirty, with odd stains and hair on the pillowcases even after they were changed. The washroom always smelled unpleasant, the utensils weren't clean, and the mug and bucket were grubby too. The next morning we found a big cockroach in the bucket. They didn't clean the room on time, and even after we asked and called two or three times, they still didn't come. Service was poor and the Wi-Fi didn't work at all. It was a very bad experience and a poor stay.
