OYO 69377 Hotel Ruby

The new room was only about 10% better, and by then the experience had already been spoiled. We paid ₹3000 for a room with two beds and one single bed, but the original room was tiny, poorly ventilated, and felt suffocating. It didn't seem safe either, since getting out in an emergency would have been difficult. The AC never cooled, even after we waited around 30-40 minutes. When we complained, staff argued with us for 20-30 minutes and said we were “acting” instead of trying to solve the problem. A manager finally stepped in after a heated argument and moved us. ₹3000 isn't justified for such an uncomfortable, cramped, poorly maintained room. The management should check ACs before assigning rooms, improve ventilation and safety, and train staff to handle complaints respectfully. I wouldn't recommend Hotel Ruby, Mumbai unless the service improves seriously.

We booked through the IRCTC site, so don't get taken in by that. The hotel’s photos and advertising are fake and misleading. Rooms and bathrooms stink, service is terrible, and the manager is rude, won't fix problems, and won't take responsibility. There were electrical issues too, with a risk of a short circuit. Don't come here, seriously. If I put it in Hindi: don't come, stay alert. Better to sleep by the road or find some other arrangement. EDIT: Water leaked from the AC all night. When we called staff, they said, “it's monsoon, we can't do anything,” as if the monsoon only happens at Hotel Ruby. @irctc

The room was far too small and not very clean. We had booked an AC room, but when we turned it on, it didn't work. The fan also broke late at night. I asked the hotel staff for help, but they did nothing. When I requested a room change, he denied it and said there were no rooms available. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The location is great for sightseeing. Staff are good, and the service is very good too.
