The one thing I appreciated was being close to the main road and hotels. Otherwise, I had such a bad stay that I cut my three-night booking down to one night after asking several times. The lovely pictures on Makemy trip misled me. The room and washrooms weren’t very clean, and there’s no lift to the second floor. The stairs are narrow, which made carrying my heavy luggage difficult. Since it’s in a commercial area, the surroundings get lonely at night when nearby shops close, and there’s a wine shop next door. I’d be careful about bringing family or staying here as a bachelor.

The spacious family suite was a positive, and the hotel is near Grant Road railway station. But we stayed just one night, and bed bugs kept us awake the whole time. The building is very old and has no lift; its steep, difficult stairs felt risky, especially for families and older people. Cleanliness and maintenance overall were very poor.

There’s no drinking water, no luggage storage, and nobody to help carry bags up or down. The rooms looked neat and clean, but they had bugs, or khatmal. Getting water in the bathroom took ages because the pressure was very low, and the shower didn’t work. Checkout at 11 am is enforced very strictly, and the manager was rude and always gave negative replies. There was no staff around to help. The entrance and stairs were very poor and third class, and the rooms are on the second floor with no lift.

The rooms are okay, but the manager was very rude to guests and staff weren’t available. There’s no lift, the location isn’t good, and the shared bathroom is outside the room rather than attached. Coming here isn’t a great idea.

The staff and aunty were so helpful and made us feel at home. We had a wonderful stay here, and I’d recommend the hotel to my friends and colleagues.
