Lemon Tree Hotel, Kalina BKC, Mumbai

The location near BKC was the main plus. I was upgraded to a ninth-floor room for my solo two-night stay on 27 and 28 January 2026. It was small and cozy, with views of the time group and Suntech building. The food wasn't to my taste, maybe because my palate was different. The soup and prawn curry were both spicy, and breakfast was just okay.

For what they charge, the rooms are tiny and there's nowhere to put your bags. Sitting on the toilet means your knees have to go under the sink counter. There's no lobby, just a very ordinary small restaurant. I stayed two nights this month, January 2026, and wouldn't choose this hotel again. There's nothing four-star about it except the price. At such a high rate, I felt cheated, and this stay has shaken my faith in the Lemon Tree brand.

Everything at Lemon Tree Hotel Kalina exceeded my expectations, from the delicious dining options to cozy rooms with lovely views. The staff were very polite and elegant, and I highly recommend the hotel. Special thanks to the dining area team, especially Nagam kaji, who gave very good service. The others were good too.

There isn't room to drive in and out, so you have to enter and then back up to get out, and there's no parking. The hotel lobby is just the space in front of the lift. The approach is poor, with overflowing gutters outside, and the location and cleanliness are poor too. Rooms are quite compact for the amount charged.
