OYO 7150 Metro View Residency

I booked this hotel for three nights for me and my foreigner wife through Oyo, but when we arrived they wouldn’t accommodate us. They said there were no empty rooms, even though they gave no reason for refusing our stay. Oyo couldn’t find a solution either. They said they’d book us a room nearby, but only accompanied us to another hotel and ran off. Needless to say, they hadn’t arranged a replacement booking.

The rooms were lovely, comfortable, and well appointed, with the basics, at a wonderfully affordable price. Everything worked well, including the AC, geyser, and TV, and the room comfort was exceptional. It’s a fantastic value for a one-night stay. It was hard to find the hotel because the building had no sign. Check-in was a bit of a pain: the Oyo system kept the lights restricted until check-in was complete, but they still didn’t work after it was completed. It took 20-30 minutes to sort out the lights. Basic toiletries weren’t in the room, but they supplied them promptly when we asked.

The property is in an excellent location, easy to reach from the main road, and the Wi-Fi was good. But the food needs improvement, especially for the price. During my three-day stay, breakfast was only bread omelet and Aloo Paratha. Lunch and dinner were the same dal, bhindi sabji, and Karela fry every day. They even charged for a bowl of curd. They said there were no other options because there was no cook or chef. They also didn’t provide packaged drinking water in the room. The reception charged me Rs.20/- per page for printing without any kind of bill. Oyo should look into it. Housekeeping was worse in my experience. During my entire stay, I didn’t get any service, towels weren’t changed, and neither the washroom nor bedroom floors were cleaned. They didn’t even clean the used bin during my four-day stay. I’ll have to think again about whether I’d stay next time. The only positive was the excellent location.

The breakfast was decent, but there weren’t many other amenities, the staff were pathetic, and cleanliness was poor. The room wasn’t properly cleaned, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned once during my stay, and they didn’t have a towel to give me, so it’s better to bring your own. There was a garbage bag just outside my door. Even after I asked several times, they still didn’t clean the room. Better to avoid staying here.
