The Shalimar Hotel

I loved the quiet location in an upscale area, with everything nearby. The hotel was clean and spacious, and all the staff were kind and professional. My bed was very comfortable, and the amenities covered what I needed: regularly replenished toiletries, a desk, a safe, water bottles, and both a bathtub and shower. There's also a restaurant, bar, cake shop, and spa inside. Amazing value, and I'd definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Mumbai.

The staff were friendly, greeted us, and took care of our needs. We were a little concerned by other reviews mentioning checkout delays or false charges for amenities, but our stay was comfortable and smooth. We originally had two room types, comfort and smart. Switching from smart to comfort took a long time because of checkout delays, but management gave us a complimentary upgrade to the Boston suite, which was a great gesture. The hotel has good rooms as well as cafes, a bakery, and restaurants inside. I was there for Lollapalooza Mumbai 2026 Jan. The hotel is 2.7 km from Mahalaxmi Race course, so walking to the venue was a good option. Really happy with the stay and overall experience. 10/10 recommend.

I stayed at The Shalimar Hotel for two nights while work was being done at home. The rooms were spacious, tastefully done, and very comfortable. Breakfast had a good spread and was just right. Cafe Calma is a great place for a meal, followed by a drink downstairs at the bar. I also tried the spa and found it really relaxing. I'd happily recommend the hotel.

The staff's service and manner were exceptional, warm, and focused on helping. Special thanks to the two lovely men who brought drinking water to my room at night, and to the young woman with glasses in the breakfast room. But the middle-aged security man at the car park was extremely rude to my friend who rides a motorcycle. He wasn't rude to me, since I was in a fancy car. I don't appreciate that difference in treatment or the financial classism.
