They can make simple, homely food when you ask, which gave the stay a personal touch. The location between Anachal and Munnar is handy, close to the main road and nearby attractions while away from the busy town. It was clean, affordable, and well maintained, with good service from friendly, helpful staff. A comfortable budget option near Munnar.

The owner was well mannered, and the bathroom was good, but my premium room felt cramped. The place is a multi-storey house with little parking and not much room to walk around. Having seen the surroundings on Google Street View, I wouldn’t have chosen this stay. It doesn’t live up to what I’d expect of a three-star property.

It’s around 9kms from the centre of Munnar, in a peaceful, semi-forest setting with a good mountain view. You’ll need a vehicle to get there. Rooms are on the small side but clean, with attached bathrooms and hot water; the cottage has wifi. Breakfast and dinner are available for a fee, with a limited menu, though the food wasn’t that great. A quiet option if you want to stay away from city noise.

What makes Drizzle valley cottages special is the owner and his family. They’re so warm and loving that you feel part of the family from the moment you meet them. The location is pleasant, and the rooms are comfortable. Meals and breakfast are delicious and made to suit our taste and choices. In fact, it was the best food we had in kerala. A peaceful, scenic, comfortable place to stay in munnar.
