The map showed the hotel in Munnar, but it’s actually in adimali, about 28 km away. When I asked reception about the map, the boy there said the map problem wasn’t the hotel’s responsibility. The room hadn’t been cleaned when I arrived. The bed smelled bad, the drinking water wasn’t pure and had germs in it, and the food plate wasn’t clean. When we raised these issues, the manager said they weren’t responsible and that responsibility belonged only to oyo rooms. The hotel staff’s behavior made for a very bad experience. I called oyo customer service, but they didn’t offer a solution and wasted our time and money. After this awful experience, I think nobody should choose oyo rooms. They’re absolutely fraudulent.

Oyo lists this property for Munnar, but it’s an hour away. The rooms were dirty and had a strong, musty fungal smell. There didn’t seem to be any staff at the hotel, and check-in took a very long time. We also got no proper response.

I booked through agoda, but they weren’t helpful when I tried to find the hotel. I couldn’t find a contact number, and my wife and I spent at least half an hour searching before giving up and finding another room. The roads were packed, it was very busy, and nobody seemed to know this place. I tried calling Oyo several times and also contacting agoda. They gave me some numbers, but nobody answered. They should make the signs easier to see, help guests find the location, and have a way to communicate with people who’ve booked. I wouldn’t recommend staying here during busy holidays or weekends. I hope they offer better help in future to families and people travelling from far away.
