Parakkat Nature Resorts

Our rooms were immaculate, and the buffet was excellent, with lush greenery all around. The property is beautifully built into nature, with a natural waterfall running through it, and the surroundings felt calm and peaceful. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Sham Thomas was especially helpful coordinating all the resort events, and he was a good person. It was a very relaxing, rejuvenating stay.

The location was a real plus, with beautiful, peaceful views from the rooms and lovely nature around Munnar. Our stay was comfortable and decent. Some rooms and parts of the property could use refreshing and better upkeep, and the restaurant service could have been quicker and more attentive. The food itself was okay. We stayed at Parakkat Nature Hotel & Resorts during our Munnar trip, and the scenery made it a nice place to stay.

The balcony view was excellent, and breakfast was very good, though it was crowded enough that people were taking our chairs. The reception area had a very nice ambience. Everything else fell short for us: the room, bathroom, and bed were shabby and unhygienic, water from the sink ran onto our legs, and there were cockroaches. We stayed at the Parakkat Nature resorts Pallivasal/Munnar from 15th till 18th May 2026. It wasn't worth what we paid, and I wouldn't recommend it. They need to improve their standards across the board. I'm very sure the high ratings are fake or paid ones.

The advertised amenities didn't match what we found. The pool was under maintenance, the artificial waterfall wasn't working, and the rain dance facility was unavailable. Dust and unclean surroundings made the poorly maintained property feel even worse. The fitness club was in very poor shape too: most equipment, including the treadmill, didn't work, and the machines that did were old and unserviced. Breakfast had dead flies, which was very unhygienic. Other food was just okay and overpriced, with an extra 20% charge blamed on a gas crisis. No complimentary drinks were provided, either. We reached around 2:30 PM, after the 2:00 PM check-in time, but there was no proper security at the entrance and parking took a long time. Then we waited again at reception, and didn't get a room until between 3:45 PM and 4:00 PM. It wasn't the room we'd selected, and when we raised that, they asked us to pay extra for an upgrade. I'd already paid 11k for one day. The room was average and highly overpriced. Curtains didn't cover the windows properly, so privacy was affected, the balconies were very dirty, and the washbasin drainage wasn't working properly. I told management about all these issues and gave my feedback directly. The experience felt misleading and didn't match the advertisements. It seemed they relied on paid promotions to attract people. The property wasn't well maintained and didn't justify the high cost. I'd strongly recommend not going there.
