Hotel Harmony Blue Mcleodganj, Dharamshala

The valley views are breathtaking, and the setting feels like a glimpse of heaven. My room had two balconies, one private, and was much cleaner than rooms at other hotels I've stayed in around India. Room service was excellent and quick. My kids also made two lovely little companions, Manu and Kallu, and they miss them a lot. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The friendly staff and good dinner were the bright spots, though breakfast was very average. I was disappointed by the rooms and their cleanliness: the bed steads and pillow covers were dirty, and the rooms weren't cleaned much during our stay. It's an average hotel, and for the same rate you could find better in Mcleodganj. The area is nice, beside the only luxury property, Fortune Moksha, and about 2km from the Dal Lake. But getting in means driving through a very narrow passage, so I'd avoid taking your own car if you're not used to hill roads. I'd urge visitors to check other options before choosing Harmony Blue.

Worst hotel stay I've ever had. The rooms were dirty, with spiders and cockroaches even in the SUPER DELUXE ROOMS, and the hot water gysers didn't work. Parking was a real challenge, and the location felt isolated from the rest of Mcloadganj, Dharamshala city. The service was awful and the staff horrible. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dharamshala or Mcloadganj.

After a busy day, Harmony Blue was the kind of cosy place where I could put my feet up and relax with a gorgeous view around me. It has a welcoming energy that draws you back in. The hotel is a hip spot in a traditional city, tucked into a great location and feeling like a home away from home. The hygiene and cleanliness exceeded my expectations, the food was delicious, and the staff were courteous and helpful. That breathtaking view made it an especially lovely stay.
