Hotel Blue Moon

Being close to the railway station is a real asset for visitors, and the rooms are spacious. But cleanliness is lacking: the sofas, curtains, and bathrooms were stained and dirty. The food was average.

The convenient location near the railway station was one good thing about Blue moon, and the receptionist, Mr Datta, was courteous and helped arrange my return ticket to Mumbai after my durunto tickets weren’t confirmed. But the place needs a major renovation. I booked online in a hurry during my first visit to nagpur because other rooms were filling fast. The bathroom floor tiles and toilet were dirty, with water on the floor when I checked in; the flush worked only with great effort, and loose switches left the room light out. There was a bad stench in the lobby at reception and on the stairs to the first floor. I arrived late and had an official visit an hour later, so I had no choice but to move out. If they want business from good customers, they need to renovate the hotel in a big way.

It was cheap, the service was nice, and the staff were good. Still, there’s been no recent renovation or maintenance. The bathroom I used needed quite a bit of work. All in all, just ok ok.

Budget travellers may find the price appealing, but the property charges more than its amenities justify. It’s in a very congested area, the room was average, and the food was edible. Overall, an average stay.
