Inn Of Dreams by OYO Rooms

My guests and I were left looking for another place in the afternoon heat on April 27, even though I had booked this room ahead of time. The receptionist first asked for twice what I’d already paid online. Since it was scorching and everyone was tired, I paid extra through Oyo. After I showed him the payment, he called the owner, then said there were no rooms because they were under maintenance. Yet another party arrived and made an offline booking, and they were given a room. We asked again for ours, but he said the owner wouldn’t allow it. After that, he barely responded, disappearing into a locked room for 10-15 minutes at a time. We had to call him two or three times before he came back with the same attitude. I felt helpless and was very disappointed with both the owner and receptionist. Despite having rooms, they refused us because we’d paid online and treated us very badly. Oyo gave me a full refund, but I had a bad experience with both the hotel and Oyo. The receptionist was unprofessional, and the owner seemed to have no idea what hospitality means.

The rooms were really neat and tidy, and after the receptionist explained the OYO technical issues with bookings and displayed prices in detail, I was convinced and agreed to stay. He then allotted us a room, and I was grateful for the service. I’d had a lot of trouble with OYO properties lately. Unlike other receptionists who had declined my booking, he explained what was going on. I do think this situation is unfair to property owners, and OYO should fix it so customers get better service. These days OYO has become awful. Its listings don't properly explain the rates or properties, and we end up suffering over price disputes with hotels. Other discount booking apps seem to have the same problem too.

The property was well maintained, and cleanliness and safety clearly matter to them. I had a great experience with the owner and staff.
